Print has been central to Lucy Merriman’s practice, informed by more than three decades working in textile print design.

 

She sees printmaking and painting as interconnected ways of building an image.  Layering, mark-making, texture and chance are fundamental to both, with the physical processes of print continuing to shape her approach to painting.
